PROGRAM QUESTIONS
- 01
All New York City student-athletes from kindergarten through 12th grade can join Beat the Streets programs.
- 02
Beat the Streets is free! All you have to do is register with Beat the Streets and show up to practice with a positive attitude.
- 03
You can register at btsny.org/register. Completing this sign-up process will register you for a Beat the Streets membership, not a USA Wrestling membership.
- 04
If you turn 18 years old by Sept. 1, 2026, you must complete a U.S. Center for SafeSport certification on your USA Wrestling profile. You can access this certification under the "manage" tab on the USA Wrestling dashboard after you sign in to your account.
The U.S. Center for SafeSport produces abuse awareness and prevention courses to provide safe and positive sport environments. If you do not fit that description, then you do not need to do anything prior to participating in a Training Center wrestling practice.
- 05
Practices are at the Beat the Streets Training Center. To access the practice room, use the freight elevator entrance at 202 W. 36th St. The practice room is on the fourth floor.
- 06

- 07

- 08
Student-athletes should wear workout apparel (T-shirt and shorts) and clean socks. If you need wrestling shoes, please inform a coach when you arrive at practice.
