Beat the Streets New York launches fundraiser with Citi Field Spartan Stadion

The 5-kilometer obstacle race will kick off the 2022 year-end campaign.

Beat the Streets New York will start its 2022 year-end campaign in grand fashion by competing in the Citi Field Spartan Stadion on Saturday, Nov. 19.

It is the second straight year BTSNY will run a Spartan race that brings together the New York City wrestling community with student-athletes, parents, supporters and members of BTSNY's staff, Board of Directors and Leadership Council. Last year, BTSNY raised more than $80,000 with the Spartan race and this year our goal is $100,000.

BTSNY's fundraising efforts will continue after this year's race is done through the end of the year with the year-end fundraising campaign. BTSNY will highlight exceptional BTSNY student-athletes and celebrate success on and off the mat this year.

How to participate

  1. Register to reserve your spot in the race by emailing BTSNY Communications Manager Brandon Cain at bcain@btsny.org.

  2. To fundraise for the event, visit give.btsny.org/yearend2022 and select the block that applies to you to create your personal fundraising page.

  3. Run the Spartan race with BTSNY on Nov. 19 at Citi Field.

If you are unable to attend the Spartan race, you can still help fundraise in support of BTSNY programs that empower NYC youth through the great sport of wrestling. You can create a personal fundraising page on give.btsny.org/yearend2022 and select a fundraiser from the list at the bottom of the page and donate to their page OR make a general donation to the campaign.

Since being founded in 2005, BTSNY has pioneered a movement that now includes 150 individual wrestling programs, a youth league and the first girls high school league.

BTSNY works to develop the full human and athletic potential of the urban youth and strengthen the New York City wrestling culture. We aim to make a lifelong impact on student athletes through the lessons learned on the wrestling mat -- discipline, perseverance, self-reliance, humility and a strong work ethic.
