The Queens native claimed his second All-America honor in his collegiate career.

Beat the Streets New York Academy alumnus Isaias Torres capped his collegiate career with another national honor, placing seventh at 141 pounds at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships on Saturday at Alliant Energy PowerHouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The Ithaca College senior won his opening match by 14-5 major decision then fell 12-3 in the quarterfinals. Torres responded with resilience in the consolation bracket, earning All-America status for a second time in his career with a 12-7 win in his next bout.
On the second day of the tournament, Torres dropped a match by fall but rebounded in dominant fashion. In his final collegiate match, he delivered an emphatic 13-3 major decision to claim seventh place. The victory also marked his 123rd career victory, placing him sixth on Ithaca's all-time wins list.
Torres finished his collegiate career as a four-time national qualifier and two-time All-American, with seventh-place finishes at the national championships in both 2024 and 2026.
His wrestling journey started in middle school through the Beat the Streets Junior League program, New York City's only elementary and middle school wrestling league. He remained actively involved with BTS throughout high school by participating in the life-changing Academy program. In high school while competing for Grand Street Campus, Torres became a two-time New York State place-winner.
