The Queens native will make his fourth appearance at the national tournament.

Beat the Streets New York alumnus Isaias Torres has qualified for the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships for the fourth time in his collegiate career.

The Ithaca College senior secured his place at the national tournament after finishing second at 141 pounds at the NCAA Division III Region II Championships on Saturday in Ithaca. Fellow BTS alums Botensky Bauzile of Hunter College and Richard Morales of Alfred State College each earned All-Region honors with eighth-place finishes at 133 and 141 pounds, respectively.

The national tournament will take place March 13-14 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Torres is no stranger to the national stage. The Queens native previously competed at the national tournament in 2023, 2024 and 2025, earning All-America honors with a seventh-place finish in 2024. In both 2023 and 2025, he fell just one victory short of reaching the podium. Torres will now look to cap his collegiate career with another All-America finish.

Torres started his wrestling journey with Beat the Streets in middle school through the Junior League program, New York City's only elementary and middle school wrestling league. He remained actively involved with BTS throughout high school by participating in the life-changing Academy program. In high school while competing for Grand Street Campus, he became a two-time New York State place-winner.

Now, Torres returns to the national tournament with an opportunity to close out his collegiate career on top.
