Barlett earned NCAA All-American honors three times and helped Penn State win four NCAA team titles.

Beat the Streets Wrestling, Inc. (BTS), a nonprofit dedicated to making a lifelong impact on New York City boys and girls through the sport of wrestling, is proud to announce Beau Bartlett has joined its coaching staff.

Barlett will lead wrestling practices for NYC K-12 boys and girls at the BTS Training Center. In his role, he will mentor and support NYC student-athletes, develop training plans that emphasize long-term development and promote personal growth. Trained by Olympic and NCAA champions Cael Sanderson and Kendall Cross, Bartlett brings elite-level coaching knowledge to help BTS student-athletes grow as wrestlers, students and leaders.

"Beat the Streets is changing lives through wrestling, and I’m grateful to be part of that mission,” Bartlett said. “From a young age, my father instilled character and discipline in me, and those values have been my guide. I’ve learned so much from the world-class coaches throughout my wrestling career, and as I continue to compete, I’m looking forward to passing those lessons on while helping kids grow on the mat and in life.”

Barlett is currently competing internationally at 65 kilograms in men’s freestyle for the New York City Regional Training Center. Earlier this month, Barlett earned a bronze medal at the Yasar Dogu Tournament in Antalya, Turkey. A 2021 U20 World bronze medalist, Barlett is scheduled to compete in Real American Freestyle against 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials champion and two-time NCAA champion Jordan Oliver at RAF06 on Feb. 28 in his hometown of Tempe, Arizona. Bartlett will continue competing while serving in his role at BTS.

Collegiately, Barlett competed for Penn State, where he was a 2024 NCAA finalist and three-time NCAA All-American. He helped lead the Nittany Lions to four NCAA team championships and three Big Ten titles. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Prior to college, Barlett was a four-time National Prep champion at Wyoming Seminary, one of the nation’s premier high school wrestling programs.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Beau to the Beat the Streets family,” BTS Executive Director Bob Seidel said. “Beau is a world-class addition to the staff from a wrestling perspective, and he is also going to be a great role model for our wrestlers off the mat.  Having Beau join our team will help us further our mission of providing NYC student-athletes the best wrestling instruction in the city, while also equipping them with the skills necessary to succeed in all their future endeavors.”
